Hitachi Energy seeks a Global Technical Instructional Designer to support 12,000+ employees in the High Voltage Business Unit. This role will help architect our inaugural Global HV Learning Center of Expertise, creating engaging technical content and courses using micro-, role-, and scenario-based learning.

You will develop objectives, assessments, stories, and videos, ensure branding and safety standards, and lead cross-functional projects to deliver high-quality training across geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in adult learning, training design, or knowledge content management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across the organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, higher education, or technology sectors.
• Experience developing high-stakes examinations.

Responsibilities

• Create content including objectives, assessments, certifications, stories, scenarios, and knowledge checks.
• Develop guides, best practices, troubleshooting docs, infographics, and videos.
• Interpret skill matrices to identify knowledge gaps and shape training.
• Lead projects to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery and alignment with standards.
• Maintain content for on-the-job and inquiry-based learning environments.
• Analyze content analytics to drive continuous improvement.
