Job summary

Bosch Polska is seeking an experienced System Engineer to manage our global virtualization and Linux-based server infrastructure. You will design, implement, automate, and operate enterprise-grade hardware, virtualization, and storage across a multinational environment.

You will drive automation with Ansible, manage vSAN/vCenter, and ensure security hardening and observability. This hybrid role offers a challenging, international team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience administering large-scale VMware vSphere and vCenter environments.
• Solid working knowledge of software-defined storage (VMware vSAN) and enterprise storage concepts (SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
• Experience with monitoring and capacity management tools.
• In-depth engineering experience with enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu/Debian).
• Solid understanding of core networking and directory integration (Kerberos, AD, PAM).
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, evolve, and maintain large global virtualization environments (vSAN, vCenter) as part of a 3rd-level engineering team.
• Oversee Linux installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management at scale.
• Develop Ansible playbooks and scripts; automate deployments, hardening, and capacity management.
• Manage x86 server hardware portfolio and lifecycle; collaborate with procurement and vendors.
• Design, maintain, and optimize software-defined storage (vSAN) and storage integrations (SAN/NAS).
• Act as escalation point for complex issues across hardware, hypervisor, OS, and storage layers.
