Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Global Study Associate Director to lead cross-functional study management and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The GSAD collaborates with CPT and partners to drive study milestones and compliance across AZ SOPs and GCP guidelines.

The role involves directing study teams, managing budgets, overseeing TMF, risk planning, and mentoring colleagues while driving process improvements in a complex, global environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in medical or biological sciences or related field.
• 5 years of clinical experience with 2 years in project management in pharma.
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements; study management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional study team and oversee outsourced delivery to meet milestones.
• Coordinate investigator meetings and study-related governance with external partners.
• Develop study-level documents (CSP through CSR) per AZ SOPs.
• Ensure external providers meet contracted goals, timelines and budget.
• Maintain study plans including quality and risk management strategies.
• Oversee TMF completion and ensure inspection readiness.
