Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an experienced Solution Architect - Infrastructure & Networks to shape and deliver robust, secure enterprise solutions across a complex, multi-site environment. You will own end-to-end infrastructure and network design and governance.

You will lead architecture across LAN/WAN, cloud connectivity, datacentre, and identity integration while embedding security-by-design and aligning with ISO27001/NIS2.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure and network architecture across global environments.
• Strong security knowledge in regulated environments.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation or modernization initiatives.
• Proven ability to collaborate across IT, Security, and business teams; strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end infrastructure and network solutions aligned to standards and business needs.
• Produce architecture artefacts (HLDs, LLDs, roadmaps, technical designs).
• Define patterns across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity and datacentre.
• Embed security-by-design and ensure ISO27001/NIS2 compliance.
• Provide governance and assurance through reviews and forums.
• Support delivery with technical leadership, planning and risk management.
• Drive resilience, scalability and operational efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to guide strategic decisions.
• Support hybrid strategies across on-prem, cloud and manufacturing.
