Job summary

MTU is seeking a SAP Consultant to join our IT group, supporting global plants with SAP CS/PS configurations and change requests. You will participate in global digitization projects, drive standardization and process improvements, and translate business needs into effective IT solutions.

You will analyze requirements, configure SAP functionalities, and provide second-level user support. Strong English is required, German is a plus, and willingness to work across time zones is essential.

Qualifications

Completed studies (university/college) in (business) informatics or comparable practical experience.
Proven experience in SAP projects, with specific expertise in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul.
Additional expertise in Production Planning and Control would be beneficial.
Strong knowledge of SAP functionalities and customization options in CS. Additional knowledge of PS would be beneficial.
Proven experience in SAP customizing and debugging ABAP would be beneficial.
Familiarity with SAP interface technologies such as IDoc, BAPI, and RFC would be beneficial.
High initiative and assertiveness, strong teamwork and cross-functional thinking.
Willingness to work across time zones and continents.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Implementation of Change Requests (Requirement identification/customizing/documentation) mainly in SAP S4 CS/PS.
Participate in global digitization projects, driving innovation, standardization and process improvement.
Analyze requirements and configure standard functionalities in the locally used SAP modules and products.
Provide guidance to departments on system selection and process design.
Provide second level user and system support for relevant products and modules.
Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and translate them into effective IT-solutions.
Work closely with the SAP development team to implement technical concepts and customizations.
