Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an experienced Respiratory Project Manager to lead global Phase II/III respiratory trials from its Warszawa base. The role requires strong sponsor-facing skills, end-to-end trial oversight, and the ability to manage multi-country operations with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have extensive respiratory trial experience, risk-based delivery expertise, and demonstrated leadership across clinical operations, medical, regulatory, and vendor partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Phase II and III respiratory studies in CRO or sponsor environments
• Oversee timelines, budgets, risks, resources and sponsor relationships
• Serve as primary client contact and lead cross-functional global teams
• Drive proactive risk management and complex stakeholder engagement
• Present and defend study strategies to senior stakeholders

Job description

Experienced EU-based Respiratory Project Managers. We are looking for Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with: Strong respiratory therapeutic expertise, ideally including asthma, COPD, ILD, severe respiratory disease, pulmonary fibrosis, or related indications. Experience leading global Phase II and III studies within a CRO or sponsor environment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-country clinical trials including oversight of timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and sponsor relationships. Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, clinical operations, study start-up, enrollment management, and vendor oversight. Experience serving as a primary client contact and leading cross-functional global teams. Proven ability to operate independently and manage complex stakeholder environments. Experience with operationally overseeing complex respiratory endpoint vendors Preferred Experience Overall Respiratory expertise including rare respiratory (IPF) and specialized respiratory populations. Large global programs with accelerated timelines and high enrollment demands. RBQM and risk-based delivery approaches. Bid defense, proposal strategy, and client governance experience. Previous leadership or mentoring responsibilities for PMs and junior team members. Exposure to decentralized, digital, or innovative trial delivery models.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

• University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession (i.e., nursing, medical or laboratory technology) from an appropriately accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

• Master’s or other advanced degree.
• PMP certification.
