Job summary

DAZN in Katowice is seeking a Global Payroll Project Lead to drive the payroll transformation roadmap. The role is hands-on, coordinating multi-country payroll projects and delivering plans with owners, milestones and controls.

You will work with stakeholders across HR, Finance and external partners, supporting acquisitions, system integrations, audits and IPO readiness while exploring automation opportunities to improve payroll operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading global payroll transformation projects and managing multi-country initiatives.
• Strong project-management skills with ability to create and execute detailed delivery plans.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations, vendor changes or acquisitions.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, compliance, controls and payments.
• Hands-on, delivery-focused approach with excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Translate SVP priorities into detailed payroll project plans with defined owners, milestones and risks.
• Manage and execute global payroll projects from planning to implementation and handover.
• Support payroll integrations after acquisitions, including data migration, testing and cutover.
• Coordinate payroll vendor implementations, migrations and consolidations.
• Support payroll system implementations and integrations with HR, Finance and other systems.
• Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve payroll operations.
• Coordinate improvements to payroll payment and funding methods with relevant teams.
• Assist with payroll compliance and IPO-readiness activities and documentation.
• Act as a point of contact for auditors and authorities and provide regular progress updates.

Description

The Global Payroll Projects Lead will support the SVP of Global Reward and Payroll in delivering the global payroll strategy and transformation roadmap

This is a hands-on project delivery role, responsible for creating and executing project plans across payroll process improvement, acquisitions, vendor consolidation, systems, payments, compliance and IPO readiness.

You will coordinate stakeholders, manage delivery and ensure agreed payroll projects are implemented effectively across the global business.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate priorities set by the SVP of Global Reward and Payroll into clear project plans, with defined actions, owners, milestones, risks and deliverables.
• Manage and execute global payroll projects from planning through to implementation and operational handover.
• Support the integration of payrolls following acquisitions, including process reviews, data migration, testing, vendor transition and cutover.
• Coordinate payroll vendor implementations, migrations and consolidation projects.
• Support payroll system implementations and integrations with HR, Finance, Treasury, benefits, time and attendance, banking and other relevant systems.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvements to global payroll processes, including opportunities to use automation and AI to reduce manual work, improve accuracy and strengthen controls.
• Coordinate improvements to payroll payment and funding methods, working with Payroll, Finance, Treasury, banks and external providers.
• Support payroll compliance and IPO-readiness activities, including process and control documentation, evidence gathering, action tracking and remediation.
• Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors, HMRC and other relevant authorities, connecting them with the appropriate payroll teams and subject-matter experts.
• Maintain project plans, risk and action logs, provide regular progress updates and escalat material issues to the SVP of Global Reward and Payroll.
• Coordinate stakeholders across Payroll, People, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Technology and external vendors.
• Ensure completed projects are documented, communicated and successfully handed over to the teams responsible for ongoing delivery.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Experience working in global or multi-country payroll projects, transformation or operations.
• Strong project-management skills, with experience creating and executing detailed delivery plans.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations, integrations, vendor changes or acquisitions.
• A good understanding of payroll processes, compliance, controls and payments.
• Experience coordinating audits or complex information requests would be beneficial.
• A hands-on, organised and delivery-focused approach.
• Strong stakeholder-management, problem-solving and communication skills.
• An interest in using technology, automation and AI to improve payroll operations.
• Experience supporting IPO readiness, SOX compliance would be advantageous
