Job summary

Dover Imaging & Identification (DII) invites a seasoned Global Mechanical Discipline Leader to guide standards, processes, and performance across our global R&D network. You will lead a distributed engineering community and influence product development across sites to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective mechanical solutions.

You will define global methodologies, train teams, and drive continuous improvement while partnering with product and business leaders to meet lifecycle goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering R&D in global industrial environments.
• 10+ years of direct and indirect leadership across regions.
• Experience with CAE/FEA and Design for Value/Sustainability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering Discipline worldwide with cross‑site collaboration.
• Define and deploy global standards, methodologies, and tools for mechanical design.
• Serve as technical authority to engineering leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Oversee program execution, design reviews, and readiness for project gates.
• Drive cross‑team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Manage global resources, risk mitigation, and delivery quality across a portfolio.
