Job summary

ZF Group is seeking a Global Manufacturing Technology Engineer to lead and support technology projects in automotive electronics packaging, PCB design, and manufacturing materials. You will develop standards and manage industrialization acrossGlobal Electronics with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 4–7 years in automotive electronics industrialization, a technical bachelor’s degree, and strong English.

The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

What you can look forward as a Global Manufacturing Technology Engineer (f/m/d):

• Leading/supporting technology projects for the development of new PCB and ECU packaging, component packaging and PCB assembly materials & technologies.
• To develop relevant documentation, including qualification requirements, application standards (Engineering and Manufacturing) and design rules released and implemented globally across Global Electronics.
• Manufacturing Technology roadmap implementation aligned with core application and customer application development programs.
• Day-to-day technical support to product teams and problem solving for industrialization topics (PCB, ECU packaging, component packaging, PCB assembly) and coordination of qualification testing of new technology in advance of first use in application.

Your profile as a Global Manufacturing Technology Engineer (f/m/d):

• 4-7 years of experience of the industrialization and potential failure modes of automotive electronics, their design, component technology, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor's degree in technical/engineering field.
• Experience in one and preferably more in the area of: Utilizing AI for process/design efficiency, PCB design/fabrication, PCB assembly for automotive products, Solder Paste Chemistries, Conformal Coat, Underfill, Adhesives, Optical assembly/focus, Solder Joint Reliability, DFM, Chip on Board Assembly or other automotive ECU assembly materials and/or processes.
• Strong Knowledge of PCB fabrication, supply chain and assembly processes.
• Good project management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills, able to interact confidently across a range of technical and management levels.
• Fluent in English.
