Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Joining Engineer to drive development, industrialization, and ongoing support of joining technologies for the Gas Power business worldwide. You will lead process validation, supervise transfer to repair centers, and ensure quality via heat treatment principles.

Role requires strong knowledge of welding/brazing, superalloy metallurgy, and a track record in manufacturing engineering. Travel to global sites may be required, with relocation assistance not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
• Significant experience in manufacturing engineering with joining processes (welding & brazing) and heat treatment.
• Strong understanding of superalloy welding/brazing metallurgy and post-joining heat treatment principles.
• Knowledge of gas turbine components and repair processes is a plus.
• Proven ability to collaborate with global internal/external customers.
• Familiar with Lean/Kaizen/5S and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize joining process technologies (welding and brazing) for repairs.
• Assist component teams in implementing repair strategies and NPI requirements.
• Create validation plans for repair materials and welding/brazing processes.
• Ensure transfer of developed processes and qualifications of repair service centers.
• Design, analyze, or evaluate projects per engineering standards and requirements.
• Monitor project status and communicate key developments to stakeholders.
• Maintain deep knowledge of joining processes and heat treatments for diverse applications.
• Document technical data per policies and procedures.
• Provide continuous improvement across the global repair network.
• Collaborate with supply chain and other GEV units to identify improvement opportunities.
