AL7587 GE Power Sp. z o.o. is seeking an engineer for the HGP DLE Team to advance lean product technology, qualify second sources, and support hardware quality and fulfillment. The role interfaces with design, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver high-quality GE hardware for service centers and customers.
The ideal candidate has MSc in Engineering with hands-on CAD/CAE experience (ANSYS, NX) and fluent English, and will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment in Warsaw, Poland.
As an Engineer on the HGP DLE Team, you will be an active contributor to the following objectives: 1) The Lean Product Technology team is the face of Turbine Module engineering to supply chain. This team leads second source supplier qualifications, dispositioning deviant hardware, supporting lean activities, cost reduction, scrap reduction and pre-emptive scrap and non-conformance reductions as well. The team is critical to enabling fulfillment for our customers. 2) This job involves working as a hands-on engineer supporting hardware quality and fulfillment. The Hot Gas Path engineer will interface closely with the component design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and the Global Supply Chain initiatives team to ensure GE delivers quality hardware that meets the needs of our service centers and customers.
Partner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously drive improvements and disposition deviant hardware quickly, while maintaining optimal quality for our customers Support hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, new equipment Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall function of part, reduce cost and add value Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens & Lean Action Workouts Support Design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent Engineering Proactive Quality engagement for Defect reduction / process improvements Support Qualification guidelines, specifications and top manufacturing issues Technology development and qualification of special processes – castings, coating, hole-drilling, etc. Cultivate teamwork, positive working environment, and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed
This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component Proven technical and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously MSc in Engineering Basic experience with commercial CAD/CAE package required (ANSYS, NX) General knowledge of the GT engine architecture is required Must be independent engineer that executes with minimum guidance Fluent level of written and spoken English language
