Job summary

Hitachi Energy at BU Transformers seeks a motivated HSE Assessment Program Lead to drive the internal HSE Assessment Program across the BU, ensuring compliance with BUTR HSE Instructions and supporting audits by Quality, Engineering, R&D. This global role requires travel up to 30% internationally.

You will establish a scalable BUTR Internal HSE Assessment Program based on ISO norms, guiding stakeholders, and embedding improvements across HUBs, Units and BU functions.

Qualifications

• Experience auditing, risk assessment, management systems, and incident investigation.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cultural change.
• Fluent in English; other languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create the BUTR Internal HSE Assessment Program and roll it out across the BU, establishing a support network until improvements are effectively implemented.
• Ensure compliance assessments and inspections across operational areas and contractor activities with accurate reporting and timely corrective actions.
• Contribute to the assessment and improvement of BUTR HSE Management Systems.
• Support other Programs cross-functionally, integrating Internal HSE Assessment outputs into improvements and learnings for other BU HSE Programs.
• Maintain a practical, proactive problem-solving approach close to BUTR Units, ensuring clear understanding of demands after assessments.
