Helprise is seeking a GL Accountant to handle general ledger tasks, VAT declarations, and financial reporting in a hybrid setup with an office in Cracow. The role requires solid accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in tax and regulatory processes.

You will collaborate with local and global teams, close reporting periods, and optimize accounting workflows while keeping compliance in focus. Flexible cooperation options exist, including B2B possibilities.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in financial accounting (GL, VAT, month-end activities).
• Good understanding of Polish accounting and tax regulations.
• Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
• Ability to work with large data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile GL accounts.
• Prepare VAT declarations and support tax-related processes.
• Participate in the preparation of financial statements in line with applicable standards.
• Execute tasks related to closing reporting periods.
• Review accounting entries, identify discrepancies, and prepare reports.
• Work closely with local and global teams to gather information and resolve issues.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at optimizing accounting processes
