Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the Global Functions Finance team in Poland. You will partner with senior stakeholders to manage OPEX, provide forward-looking insights, and support month-end close and planning cycles.

This individual-contributor role emphasizes hands-on analysis, process improvement, and strong collaboration with business leaders. The role requires deep FP&A expertise, excellent English, and a proven track record in influencing senior

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant finance experience, including FP&A, financial controlling, planning and forecasting, or management accounting in a complex organisation.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships in a matrix organisation, and translate financial information into clear, actionable messages for non‑finance audiences.
• Strong communication skills.
• Very high analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel expertise.
• Daily usage of AI tools for work augmentation.
• SAP and consolidation systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own key month-end activities for Global Functions, delivering timely management reporting and commentary on income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Forecast, plan and perform performance-management activities and identify opportunities to simplify processes.
• Prepare Financial Plans and Latest Estimates for the assigned Global Function.
• Manage actual and planned OPEX, explain variances and identify root causes.
• Support ExCom commentary and planning cycles with insights and actions.
• Assist Senior Finance Director with challenging assumptions and risk mitigation.
• Oversee CAPEX planning and reporting of consolidated results.
• Promote cost consciousness and budget holder engagement while driving automation and analytics.
