Job summary

Alcon in Warsaw is seeking a Freight Costs Manager to oversee financial performance control, analysis, and reporting for international freight lanes, ensuring accurate invoice processing and timely payments.

You will be the regional Transportation SME for AERA, leading weekly freight invoice reviews with carriers and internal teams, and driving data quality, analytics, and cost-control improvements across the region.

Qualifications

• About 5 years supply chain logistics experience or BPA / cost controller.
• Experience with freight audit providers is a solid plus.
• Demonstrated interaction with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Excel and Supply Chain systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the SPOC / project lead for freight audit / payment process with the selected provider.
• Audit freight invoices, approve freight payments, and perform data analysis.
• Oversee data transfer from freight audit provider to SAP and resolve technical issues.
• Lead weekly freight invoice overview meetings with carriers, freight audit provider, BPA, Global Transportation and Accounts payable team.
• Coordinate with procurement for rates administration and maintain carrier pricing records.
• Support month-end processes, accruals, and reporting as needed.
• Create and maintain weekly/monthly a database for invoices per supplier/market/service.
• Own AERA and transportation analytics capabilities as regional super user.
