Roche Polska Sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior SW Technical Expert in Warsaw to define strategic directions for digital product development.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive a transition to microservices, and ensure high performance while upholding strict quality and security standards. The role requires 10+ years of cross-functional leadership, deep expertise across multiple technologies, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 10+ years proven experience driving cross-functional collaboration to solve organization-wide technical problems and align disparate engineering efforts toward common goals.
• Deep understanding of data processing principles and AI-readiness data needs; experience building data solutions for data owners and users.
• Expertise across multiple technologies with the ability to select appropriate tools to solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS, ECS, Docker, PostgreSQL, GitOps, event-driven architecture, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle practices including performance tuning and scalability.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory software quality management.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Scope: Provide strategic technical guidance and set the direction for digital product development in alignment with business goals.
• Architectural Evolution: Lead the transition from a modular monolith to microservices with clear domain boundaries and high performance.
• Accountability/Problem Solving: Define tasks and drive mid- to large-scale initiatives at Product or Product Line level.
• Stakeholder Management: Negotiate with stakeholders and set mid- to long-term goals and objectives.
• Impact/Strategy: Provide global-level support for innovative tech initiatives and share knowledge at events.
• Operate at Product / Domain / Site level and mentor teams to improve productivity.
• Contribute to advancing technical knowledge and act as capability owner when needed.
