Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Strategy Leader for the CNC Machining Center of Excellence to define and drive enterprise manufacturing technology strategies. You will lead technology roadmaps, standardization, and capability expansion across the manufacturing network, collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes regulatory alignment, process optimization, and enabling high-quality production with a focus on innovation and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of manufacturing/engineering experience or advanced degree with 8+ years.
• Experience with CNC machining technologies in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CNC Machining Center of Excellence strategy, capability development, and technology roadmap execution.
• Define enterprise manufacturing strategies for CNC machining and finishing technologies.
• Establish standards for equipment, tooling, materials, automation, process controls, and quality systems.
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operating Units to align technology investments with business needs.
• Drive process optimization, yield improvement, defect reduction, and equipment enhancement initiatives across manufacturing sites.
• Evaluate emerging machining, finishing, and inspection technologies through collaboration with suppliers, industry partners, and academic institutions.
• Lead feasibility studies, proof-of-concept activities, and industrialization efforts for new manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure manufacturing technologies and processes support regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and scalable production.
