Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Global Category Leader to support end-to-end sourcing and category strategy execution under the Global Category Manager. The role involves running RFQ processes, supplier selection, and risk management across cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Global Category Manager, the candidate will lead negotiations and build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply, quality and compliant terms in a matrixed

Qualifications

• 7+ years of category management experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• or 10+ years of sourcing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
• Expert sourcing, contracting and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience in a matrixed organization with multiple reporting lines

Responsibilities

• Support senior global category manager in development and execution of category strategies
• Lead execution of short to long term category strategies to deliver on goals
• Conduct commercial and contractual negotiations with CORE/CASL suppliers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers for continuity of supply, quality and compliance
• Maximize commercial terms and mitigate supplier risks
