Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a CAD Engineer to join our global R&D team in Łódź. You will create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for standard parts and components, ensuring designs meet engineering and quality standards and align with global practices.

You will collaborate with engineering and supply chain to define form-fit-function specifications, support standardized components in factories, and contribute to data quality and central PLM/PDM systems.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or similar.
Proficiency in 3D modelling and 2D documentation with CAD tools.
Knowledge of design standards and industry best practices.
Experience with PLM/PDM tools is a plus (Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP PLM, 3DX).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Fluent English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for standard parts and components.
Ensure designs meet engineering and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering and supply chain to define specifications.
Support factories in implementing standardized components.
Analyze and classify part data for mapping and CAD prep.
Support migration of legacy data into a central repository.
