Job summary

Bruker is expanding its finance team in Warsaw, Poland and seeks a GL Specialist (m/f/d) with German to join our Global Business Services Center. You will manage end-to-end general ledger processes, perform month- and year-end closings, and prepare VAT declarations, while collaborating with auditors and cross-functional teams.

The role requires 1–2 years of GL experience, an accounting/finance degree, and strong English (B2) with German.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of General Ledger experience required (US GAAP experience is an advantage).
• Degree in Accounting or Finance (ACCA / SKWP certification is an advantage).
• Very good command of English (minimum B2 level) and German.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP / S4HANA ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability to change.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and risk.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to elevate issues appropriately.
• Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute end-to-end General Ledger operational processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• Prepare SOX Controls.
• Handle fixed assets accounting processes.
• Prepare VAT declarations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of General Ledger master data.
• Prepare financial reports and support statutory and management reporting.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
• Support standardization and optimization of accounting processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
• Assist Team Lead and participate in ad-hoc and improvement projects.
• Proactively identify and resolve day-to-day accounting issues.
• Coordinate and oversee end-to-end GL activities for the assigned entities, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Provide guidance, support, and knowledge transfer to team members, including onboarding new joiners, sharing best practices, issue resolution.
• Act as a key point of contact and ensure consistent process execution for supporting entity.
• Perform other duties as required.
