Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group, based in Poznań, Poland, seeks a Statutory Senior Accountant to lead statutory reporting, align local practices with group standards, and mentor GL accountants. The role emphasizes auditing readiness, balance sheet accuracy, and collaboration with external auditors.

The candidate will manage statutory statements and approvals, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with local regulations while supporting finance teams across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting, finance transitions, standardization or audit work.
• Good knowledge of SAP FI system (asset).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate statutory reporting transition and prepare financial data.
• Analyze local adjustments, tax data and statutory postings.
• Mentor GL accountants in statutory processes and audits.
• Prepare and reconcile statutory financial statements.
• Collaborate with EY & PwC and provide statutory support.
• Identify and implement process improvements and trainings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audits.
• Prepare annual financial statements per local regulations.
• Support GL team with complex statutory issues.
• Participate in meetings and knowledge sharing across teams.

Within your field, you can work on a variety of assignments with a high level of responsibility – from reporting and analyzing business performance to ensuring the accuracy of balances on the balance sheet. What You Will Be Doing

• Coordinate and support statutory reporting transition, including preparation of financial data and technical SAP adaptations (LL solutions)


• Analyze and process local adjustments, tax data and statutory postings


• Guide and mentor GL accountants in statutory processes, audit preparation and regulatory compliance


• Prepare, review, and reconcile statutory financial statements (Equity & P&L, AnRep vs. statutory)


• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including EY & PwC and provide technical support on statutory issues


• Identify and implement process improvements, prepare operating instructions, and conduct trainings


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and responsibility for the audit process


• Prepare and document annual financial statements in accordance with local regulations


• Provide ongoing support for GL team members in addressing complex statutory and adjustment issues


• Participate actively in meetings, trainings, and knowledge‑sharing sessions across teams

What You Bring

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field


• 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance process transitions, standardization, improvement or audit activities


• Good knowledge of the SAP FI system (experience is an asset)


• Advanced skills in Excel


• Proficiency in written and spoken English


• Experience in preparing financial statements, managing transitions and developing operating instructions


• Strong sense of responsibility and a proactive approach


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills


• A collaborative, team‑oriented attitude
