Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Kraków to join a collaborative team that values expertise and growth. The role involves the full ledger accounting cycle and producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

You will work in a hybrid setup, three days in the office and two days flexible for parents of young children. The team emphasizes quality, continuous learning, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and how to apply them in real-world scenarios.
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger, group accounting, or audit.
• Studied accounting or gained equivalent experience.
• Strong in Excel and comfortable with Word.
• Fluent in English.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of turning data into insight.
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Run full ledger accounting cycle to develop expertise and credibility.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Independently check quality of work done by junior accountants and identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and best practices.

In our team, you will be responsible for:

• You will be responsible for full ledger accounting cycle which gives you the opportunity to become an experience accounting professional.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Independently check quality of work done by junior accountants, capture areas for improvement, process gaps, advice and guide the team
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of accounting standards (i.e. IFRS / US GAAP)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and best practices
