Job summary

Sperasoft in Kraków, part of Keywords Studios, is seeking an experienced Game Designer to join a world-class team. You will collaborate with the Game Director and Design team on design decisions for a large AAA FPS title, shaping features and balance.

You will work with engineers, artists, and producers to implement design direction, lead key game aspects with minimal supervision, analyze metrics, and contribute to prototyping and gameplay tuning.

Qualifications

• Experience in Game Design for FPS/TPS games
• Full-cycle development experience with at least 1 shipped title as a game designer
• Knowledge of 3D level/game design tools, primarily Unreal Engine 5
• Attention to quality and detail, both creatively and technically
• Strong creative skills
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Familiar with project management methodologies and software
• Passionate gamer with strong industry interest
• Proficiency in English (verbal, written and technical)

Responsibilities

• A role collaborating closely with the Game Director and Game Design team on design decisions for a large AAA first-person shooter
• Own, drive and communicate the vision for major design initiatives, new features, major design overhauls and hold brainstorming/playtest sessions
• Work closely and unify all other disciplines: engineers, artists and producers to design, tune and implement various game design directions
• Lead complex, challenging, impactful game aspects with minimal oversight
• Analyze internal and external metrics feedback and adjust design or balance the game if necessary
• Contribute to prototyping, game balancing and gameplay tuning

• Rola polegająca na ścisłej współpracy z Game Directorem oraz zespołem Game Designu przy podejmowaniu decyzji projektowych dla wielkoformatowej gry AAA z gatunku FPS (strzelanki pierwszoosobowej).

• Kształtowanie, rozwijanie i komunikowanie wizji głównych inicjatyw projektowych, nowych funkcji oraz gruntownych przebudów systemów gry, a także prowadzenie sesji burzy mózgów i playtestów.
• Ścisła współpraca i integrowanie działań innych dziedzin (programistów, grafików oraz producentów) w celu projektowania, dopracowywania i wdrażania poszczególnych założeń game designu.
• Samodzielne prowadzenie złożonych, wymagających i kluczowych obszarów gry z minimalnym nadzorem.
• Analiza informacji zwrotnej oraz wskaźników (metryk) wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych, a także dostosowywanie projektu lub balansowanie gry w razie potrzeby.
• Aktywny udział w prototypowaniu, balansowaniu gry oraz dopracowywaniu rozgrywki (gameplay tuning).

• Full cycle and multi-discipline development experience with at least 1 title shipped as a game designer
• Knowledge of 3D level/game design tools and editors, primarily Unreal 5

• Doświadczenie w Game Designie przy grach z gatunku FPS lub TPS (strzelankach pierwszo- lub trzecioosobowych).
• Doświadczenie w pełnym cyklu produkcji gry (full-cycle) oraz pracy w multidyscyplinarnym zespole, z co najmniej jednym wydanym tytułem (shipped title) na stanowisku Game Designera.
• Znajomość narzędzi do projektowania poziomów/gier w 3D oraz edytorów, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Unreal Engine 5.
• Duża dbałość o jakość i detale, zarówno w wymiarze kreatywnym, jak i technicznym.
• Wysokie umiejętności kreatywne.
• Doskonałe umiejętności organizacyjne i komunikacyjne.
• Znajomość metodologii oraz oprogramowania do zarządzania projektami.
• Zamiłowanie do gier oraz pasja do branży gamingowej ogółem.
• Biegła znajomość języka angielskiego (w mowie, pismie oraz słownictwie technicznym).
