Job summary

Sperasoft in Kraków, Poland is seeking a Level Designer to craft engaging game levels from concept to final polish. You will design layouts, script events, and tune level pacing while ensuring alignment with the creative vision and core mechanics.

Collaborate with international teams and contribute to prototypes, balancing, and playtesting to deliver high-quality gameplay experiences for players worldwide.

Qualifications

• Own the part of level plays in the overall game experience based on the creative director’s vision
• Work with other disciplines and precisely, level artists to ensure that the playability of the level and the graphic elements support each other
• Contribute and create level layouts
• Build, script, and tune levels to final quality
• Place and trigger entities (such as movers, objects, obstacles etc) to create fun and deep gameplay
• Oversee and maintain the design of levels by providing constant support and feedback to reach quality, core mechanics and vision
• Monitor and put your hands on accessibility, playability, and level of difficulty
• Develop topological and event continuity for levels
• Contribute to prototyping, scenario creation, event scripting, game balancing, pacing, and gameplay tuning
• Help the game to get better in quality through constant playtesting, feedback aggregation and separation of actionable items from non- actionable ones
• Work with other designers to develop and maintain a beat chart for game experience

• Wkład w prototypowanie, tworzenie scenariuszy, skryptowanie wydarzeń, balansowanie gry, tempo rozgrywki (pacing) oraz dostrajanie gameplayu
• Pomoc w podnoszeniu jakości gry poprzez ciągłe testy (playtesty), zbieranie opinii oraz odsiewanie uwag możliwych do wdrożenia od tych nierealistycznych
• Współpraca z innymi projektantami nad tworzeniem i utrzymywaniem wykresu tempa rozgrywki (beat chart) dla zapewnienia odpowiednich wrażeń z gry

• Experience in Level Design; mastery of 3D level design tools
• Solid knowledge of game editors such as Unreal 4/5
• Strong creative skills
• A fine attention to quality and detail, both creatively and technically
• Understanding of gameplay densities and spaces and work with LA to unify all elements together
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work self-directed when necessary
• Excellent knowledge of video game industry
• Ability to put oneself in player’s shoes
