Job summary

Esurance is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer in Poland to build scalable, cloud-native apps using JavaScript/TypeScript. You will design microservices and micro frontend architectures, with a 50/50 frontend/backend split, in a fast-paced product-driven environment.

You’ll work with React, TypeScript, and Node.js to create impactful solutions, mentor teammates, and contribute to knowledge sharing. The role offers remote flexibility with in-person Poland meetings quarterly and a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• MSc Computer Science or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React + modern SSR frameworks (e.g., Remix/Next.js) and Node.js.
• Strong testing skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.

We’re seeking aSenior Fullstack Engineerwith a passion for building scalable, cloud-native applications using modern JavaScript technologies. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with our product development team to design and implementmicroservices and micro frontend architectures, ensuring high performance, usability, and maintainability.

This role offers a50/50 split between frontend and backend development, making it ideal for someone who thrives in afast-paced, product-driven environment, takes ownership, and enjoys mentoring teammates. ThisPoland-based role offers remote flexibility, but we value in-person collaboration. Our team meets in Poland for at least one week each quarter, so we request all applicants to be located in Poland. This isnot a globally remote role. What you will be responsible for

• Collaborate in refinement sessions with product and tech teams to ensure feature clarity and feasibility.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable web APIs usingNode.js and microservices architecture principles.
• Develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces withReact and TypeScript.
• Work closely with Product Owners to clarify feature requirements and ensure business context is well-understood.
• Align feature architecture with Tech Leads to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Ensure features meet theDefinition of Done with robust test coverage (unit, integration, E2E).
• Support incident response and production issue resolution.
• Mentor teammates and contribute toknowledge sharing in technical best practices.

What makes you a match

Essential Qualifications (Must-Have's):

• MSc Computer Science or similar
• 7 - 10 years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Expertise in React + a modern SSR framework (React Router v7 / Remix / Next.js) (frontend) and Node.js (backend)
• Strong testing skills (Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook interaction tests/component-driven).

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Pulumi / infrastructure-as-code).
• Agile/DDD experiencein cross-functional teams.

Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills

• Clear communication with technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving.
• Languages:Fluent English (required); German, Polish,Ukrainian (all nice-to-have).
