Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Junior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to prototype AI-powered solutions for our global Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams. You will embed with frontline teams at sites and warehouses, turning insights into working AI-enabled prototypes.

You will work with Python, learn GenAI frameworks, and collaborate with operational business teams to deliver practical results on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 1-3 years of software/data engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python with data tooling experience.
• Hands-on with LLM APIs and basic RAG architectures.
• SQL querying of relational databases.
• Strong communication and mobility to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Frontline engagement: shadow sites to understand bottlenecks.
• Translate feedback into user stories, specs, and flows.
• Maintain agile backlog and participate in standups and sprints.
• Write clean Python to prototype AI-enabled solutions.
• Support RAG pipelines, semantic search indices, and multi-agent workflows.
• Iterate prototypes based on factory feedback.
• Configure APIs to connect AI apps to shop floor platforms.
