Job summary

Mars in Poland is seeking a Junior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to prototype AI-powered solutions for Supply Chain and Manufacturing. You will embed with frontline teams at sites and warehouses, translate feedback into prototypes, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver practical AI applications.

Ideal candidates are proactive builders who use Python, learn GenAI frameworks, and work with operational teams on the shop floor. Travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or digital technology delivery.
• Robust baseline experience writing Python (Pandas, NumPy, requests) and understanding of OOP and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini) and basic RAG architectures.
• Proficient with SQL and comfortable querying relational databases.
• Excellent communication, willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Frontline Engagement & Discovery: shadow frontline teams to understand bottlenecks and translate feedback into user stories.
• Rapid AI Prototyping & Development: write clean Python code, build AI prototypes, and tune RAG pipelines.
• Systems Integration & Data Engineering: configure APIs to connect AI apps to shop floor platforms and prepare data for AI systems.
• Typical Use Cases: SOP assistants, knowledge assistants, procurement intelligence tools, workflow automation tools.
