Job summary

Sopra Steria Polska is seeking a Database Administrator to join a team supporting a French client. You will manage Oracle, Cassandra and MySQL databases, ensure performance and reliability, and participate in on-call rotation.

The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata, OEM, and Cassandra clusters, plus strong problem solving and documentation skills. You will work from Katowice office at least three days a month.

Qualifications

Strong experience with Oracle Databases (9, 10, 11, 12, 19).
Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata (X6–X9).
Good knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Experience administering Cassandra 3.11 clusters and MySQL databases.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to participate in on-call rotation and document processes.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and monitor Oracle, Cassandra, and MySQL environments to ensure performance and reliability.
Manage Oracle Exadata platforms and database infrastructure, including OEM monitoring.
Troubleshoot complex database issues and perform root cause analysis.
Respond to incidents with rapid diagnosis and resolution, and support on-call coverage.
Perform maintenance: tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity management.
