Job summary

Sperasoft in Kraków, Poland is seeking a Game Designer (FPS) to collaborate with the Game Director and the design team on decisions for a large AAA first-person shooter. You will own the vision for major design initiatives, drive new features, unify disciplines, lead complex game aspects with minimal oversight, and contribute to prototyping, balancing, and tuning to deliver top-tier gameplay.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in Game Design for first/third person shooter games.
• Full cycle and multi-discipline development experience with at least 1 title shipped as a game designer.
• Knowledge of 3D level/game design tools and editors, primarily Unreal 5.
• A fine attention to quality and detail, both creatively and technically.
• Strong creative skills.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Familiar with project management methodologies and software.
• Passionate gamer, with a strong passion for games in general.
• Proficiency in English (verbal, written and technical).

Responsibilities

• A role collaborating closely with the Game Director and Game Design team on design decisions for a large AAA first-person shooter.
• Own, drive and communicate the vision for major design initiatives, new features, major design overhauls and hold brainstorming/playtest sessions.
• Work closely and unify all other disciplines: engineers, artists and producers to design, tune and implement various game design directions.
• Lead complex, challenging, impactful game aspects with minimal oversight.
• Analyze internal and external metrics feedback and adjust design or balance the game if necessary.
• Contribute to prototyping, game balancing and gameplay tuning.
