Job summary

Vulcury is a venture studio building a portfolio of companies anchored by proprietary semantic infrastructure. We are hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to be the founding technical lead, responsible for building the first production product and guiding the technical direction.

This remote US role offers a long-term seat at a formation-stage company, with mentorship from a Fractional CTO and potential to lead across the portfolio as we scale.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of professional software engineering experience with at least 3 years in ML/AI.
• Shipped a production ML/AI system end-to-end.
• A generalist across model selection, orchestration, data engineering and inference.
• Led junior engineers before with ability to raise technical bar.

Responsibilities

• Own the build-out of the first-generation Trustbridge supplier app end-to-end: architecture, model selection, agent design, inference layer, deployment.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2-4 junior engineers and interns based in India.
• Translate business specs into technical plans and work with the founder.
• Collaborate with Fractional CTO on architecture decisions and strategy.
• Shape the cross-portfolio semantic layer across ventures.
• Be redeployed to new products and client engagements as the practice grows.
