Job summary

Lisk is building a new kind of financial platform for businesses, operating fully remotely and spanning multiple European time zones. You will join our platform team to own and evolve cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure money-handling systems and auditable change controls.

As we scale, you’ll drive the platform roadmap, extend Terraform/OpenTofu IaC, and run highly available AWS services with robust SLOs, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering with ownership of production AWS environments.
• Experience in FinTech or regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI-DSS) is preferred.
• Hands-on AWS depth across IAM, compute, networking, databases, storage, secrets, and observability.
• Expert in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Strong security instincts and least-privilege mindset.
• CI/CD fluency, ideally GitHub Actions with OIDC.
• Production operations maturity: observability, incident response, backups, DR.
• Bias for shipping with tangible hardening, migrations, and reliability work.
• Self-sufficient in a lean, remote-first team.
• Comfort owning outcomes across time zones and European hours.
• Kubernetes or service mesh experience and multi-cloud/network design.
• Exposure to a second cloud (GCP/Azure) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform roadmap and security posture for production AWS environments.
• Extend and harden Terraform/OpenTofu IaC across multiple isolated environments.
• Operate highly-available services on AWS with SLOs, alerts, and on-call discipline.
• Lead on security with least-privilege, secrets management, and audit logging.
• Build and improve safe delivery pipelines with short-lived credentials.
• Make the platform observable with metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards.
• Plan for failure with backups, DR drills, and incident response testing.
• Control AWS spend and optimize costs without sacrificing reliability.
• Review infra PRs, write runbooks, and mentor product engineers.
• Collaborate across time zones and align with global teams.
