Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Financial Operations Lead, FinOps, to build enterprise-wide cloud financial management across software, SaaS, and digital products.

You will establish the operating model, governance, reporting, and accountability for cost visibility and optimization across hosted products and production environments. You will collaborate with Finance, Cloud Operations, and Product teams to embed cost-aware decision-making, drive forecasting accuracy, and mature FinOps practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or IT financial governance.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud spend, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud economics and licensing models.
• Ability to translate financial data into executive insights and influence stakeholders.
• Strong communication, governance, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise FinOps strategy and governance framework.
• Establish visibility into cloud and infra spend; create forecasting and reporting.
• Drive cloud cost optimization across compute, storage, licensing, and commitments.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, product, finance, procurement, and ops teams.
• Define and mature tagging standards and cost allocation models.
• Translate usage data into actionable business cases for stakeholders.
• Establish governance routines and decision forums for accountability.
• Build cost visibility for AI, ML, and related workloads.
