Job summary

Sanoma Learning in Warsaw, Poland is seeking an Accounts Receivable specialist to manage incoming payments, postings, refunds and reconciliations, and to support cashflow.

The role collaborates with the accounting team and business stakeholders, participates in month-end closes, and may contribute as SME to projects; hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance or similar.
• 3+ years of experience from a role in accounting or accounts receivable.
• Professionally proficient in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable activities.
• Post bank statements, allocate incoming payments, process customer refunds and reconciliations.
• Monitor and report open aging receivables to support cashflow in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Support month-end close with closing activities and reconciliations, including internal controls.
• Possible SME role in ongoing projects within area of responsibility.
• Work with Sanoma Accounting Services and the local accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• In this role, you will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable activities.
• You will handle bank statement postings, allocation of incoming payments, customer refunds and reconciliations.
• You have an important role in securing the companies' cashflow by monitoring and reporting of the open aging receivables, working in close cooperation with the business stakeholders.
• You support a smooth month end process by executing the closing activities and reconciliations in a timely manner, including periodical internal controls.
• You may also participate as a subject matter expert in ongoing projects within your area of responsibility.
• You will be part of the Sanoma Accounting Services organization and collaborate closely with colleagues within Sanoma organization as well as with the local accounting team.

Formal Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or similar
• 3+ years of previous experience from a role in accounting or accounts receivable
• Professionally proficient in English and Polish
