Job summary

Hitachi Energy Krakow, Poland, seeks a General Accounting/Financial Reporting Specialist to support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensure IFRS compliance, and collaborate with AP, AR, GA, and Front Office to classify financial data. You will prepare statutory financial statements and tax filings, maintain ledger integrity, assist audits, and drive improvements in accounting processes.

Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years’ experience, IFRS knowledge, SAP/Tagetik/Blackline and advanced Excel,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of General Accounting or Financial Reporting experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Proficiency in SAP, Tagetik, Blackline and advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring IFRS compliance and accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, GA, and Front Office to gather data and ensure proper classification.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax filings.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for data integrity.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and participate in finance projects as needed.
• Develop and implement improvements to accounting processes to enhance reporting efficiency.
