Job summary

Michael Page is representing an international financial services group seeking an experienced Finance Manager to drive financial reporting and transformation initiatives. The role combines technical accounting with people leadership and engagement with senior stakeholders across regions.

You will oversee IFRS reporting, month-end close, budgeting support, and policy development while leading a finance team through complex transactions and audits. Strong Excel and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in accounting, finance, or financial reporting.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong IFRS knowledge; US GAAP/UK GAAP a plus.
• Leadership or people management experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, consolidation, month-end close.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, Sage Intacct a plus.
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

For our client, an international company from the financial services sector, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager.

As part of this growth, we are looking for a Finance Manager to lead financial reporting activities, support transformation initiatives, and contribute to the further development of the finance function.

Job Description

• Lead the preparation of entity and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Prepare financial analyses, management reports, and board reporting materials.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Oversee complex accounting transactions, including capital-related entries, corporate allocations, and goodwill accounting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Assess the impact of new accounting standards and provide recommendations to the business.
• Support the development and enhancement of accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
• Coordinate external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
• Partner with local and international finance teams to maintain consistent accounting practices across the group.
• Support tax and regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and finance transformation activities.
• Collaborate with senior finance leadership on strategic and ad hoc financial analyses.

The Successful Applicant

• 5-8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP and/or UK GAAP would be an advantage.
• Previous leadership or people management experience.
• Solid experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and month-end close activities.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Sage Intacct would be a plus.
• Ability to identify financial risks, investigate discrepancies, and provide practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving processes and driving change.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
