Job summary

BorgWarner Poland is seeking a Finance Director to lead the Plant’s entire finance function, including Accounting, Controlling, planning and reporting. You will partner with the Plant Manager and local leadership to drive profitability, manage costs, cash flow and investments, and to build a capable finance team.

The role requires a university degree in finance or related fields, 10+ years of progressive finance experience, and fluency in English within an international manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive finance experience including leadership of Accounting and Controlling teams.
• Experience in an international manufacturing organization with plant finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, statutory reporting and TAX principles.
• Ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations and influence management decisions.
• Experience in audits, internal controls, risk management and process improvement.
• Fluency in English and comfort working in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the local finance strategy in line with objectives and company standards.
• Lead Accounting and Controlling functions and ensure collaboration across teams.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting per statutory and US GAAP.
• Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasts and long-range planning.
• Analyze performance, costs, margins, variances and KPIs; provide recommendations to management.
• Drive cost optimization, profitability improvement, working capital management and cash flow.
• Oversee capital investments and business projects and evaluate financial returns.
• Ensure internal controls, compliance of finance processes and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, advisors and authorities including TAX offices and grant institutions.
• Act as a key user of finance systems and drive process automation and standardization.
• Build and engage the Finance team with development and succession planning.
