Tylko, founded in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking a Finance Automation & Payments Specialist to automate accounting processes, optimise workflow, and support the upcoming ERP rollout. You will collaborate with the Technology Team and Accounting & Tax Team to leverage AI and APIs for scalable financial operations.

In this hands-on role, you’ll manage payments operations, ensure PCI DSS/KYC compliance, and contribute to strategic finance improvements.

Qualifications

• Understanding of finance and accounting processes (reconciliations, cash flows, reporting) - a formal accounting background is not required.
• Familiarity with banking systems and fintechs.
• Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations, sufficient to define requirements.
• Practical, demonstrable knowledge of AI tools, at a level that lets you build automations around them.
• Fluent Polish and good command of English.
• Working in our Warsaw office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Automate and optimise accounting processes, map financial workflows, and define ERP-related requirements.
• Collaborate with Technology Team to design finance automations using AI and APIs.
• Improve data flows between banking, accounting and internal systems.
• Support ERP rollout planning and UAT, coordinating with vendors.
• Manage payments operations, PCI DSS/KYC compliance, and vendor negotiations.
• Define payment methods by market, amount, and currency, and monitor performance.

About the Role

As our Finance Automation & Payments Specialist, you’ll play a key role in making our finance operations smarter, more efficient, and ready to scale. You’ll combine accounting knowledge with modern technology and AI to rethink how financial processes work at Tylko, in close cooperation with the Technology Team on automation, integrations and scalable solutions.

As a member of the Accounting & Tax Team, you’ll help automate repetitive tasks, improve financial processes, and free up senior finance capacity for higher-value work. At the same time, you’ll manage relationships with payment providers, improve our day-to-day payments operations and help shape the foundations for our new ERP system.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership and impact. You’ll map how things work today, identify where they can work better, and turn ideas into practical solutions. You’ll connect finance needs with technology capabilities - helping the team use AI and automation not as an add-on, but as part of how we work.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership, make things happen, and see your impact. Your work will focus on two main areas:

Accounting Process Automation & Optimisation (~70% of your time, including preparation and support for the 2027 ERP rollout)

• Analyse, support, and continuously improve our accounting processes
• Map financial processes and anticipate the long-term impact of business changes
• Design and implement finance process automations using AI tools and API integrations in close cooperation with Technology Team
• Improve and automate financial data flows between banking, accounting and internal systems
• Support the preparation and rollout of our new ERP system in 2027 - help define target processes and what belongs in ERP versus other systems., defining business requirements, participating in UAT, and coordinating with the implementation vendor
• Help the Accounting team make practical use of AI tools in their day-to-day work
• Independently run optimisation projects and work with other teams to turn improvements into action

Payments (operational support, ~30% of your time)

• Work closely with our payment service provider (PSP) on day-to-day operations - coordinating requests and monitoring performance. New contract negotiations and vendor tenders are handled by the Finance team
• Manage compliance requirements, including KYC/UBO and PCI DSS (AVS scans, SAQ A), and help prepare for PSD3/RTS (2027) and CCD2 (Autumn 2026)
• Handle chargebacks and disputes across cards, Klarna, and PayPal
• Monitor Authorisation Rate and overall payment performance, and set up payment methods by market, amount, and currency
• Support Customer Service and Accounting with transaction-related matters, including access management, case analysis, and reporting
• Support future technical integrations when we introduce new payment methods - working with the Tech team and helping with testing as needed

What we’re looking for:

• Familiarity with the payments market and major providers (e.g. Adyen, Nuvei, PayPal, Klarna) and payment methods (e.g. BLIK, Bizum)
• Basic awareness of payment regulations (PSD2/SCA); familiarity with PCI DSS / KYC
