Job summary

Vertiv Co in Warsaw is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair Thermal Management products and other contracted systems. You will build strong rapport with customers, sales managers, distributors and internal teams, and coordinate with scheduling and department managers.

The role requires a technical schooling background or a mechanical engineering degree, good HVAC knowledge, and strong teamwork and English communication.

Qualifications

• Technical school background and/or university degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Good knowledge of HVAC products and principles.
• Social competence, ability to work in a team and motivate others, and assertiveness.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a technically focused role.
• Spoken and written English a plus.
• Computer literate, MS Office proficient.
• Driver's license category B.

Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to all assigned service calls while on duty.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with company safety policy.
• Follow current codes of practice/legislation relevant to tasks.
• Maintain a minimum 90% planned maintenance completion rate.
• Keep scheduling team informed of changes to your schedule and status of open jobs.
• Maintain accuracy of customer listing by reporting site changes.
• Close tasks in Oracle VMFS; complete weekly/daily paperwork.
• Report sales or service leads to proper department.
• Support company vision and management decisions.
• Use email and Office tools to maintain communications.
• Ensure Vertiv processes are followed.
• Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
• Protect all tooling and company property.
• Work as part of service team and support business needs.
• Take active role in call-out rota.
• Ensure ITC compliance program requirements are met.
