Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Poland and global coverage. You will install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced food processing equipment, combining mechanical and electrical knowledge with excellent customer service.

Travel to international sites and customer sites is a core part of the role. You will work independently at customer sites with a wider international service organisation, delivering technical guidance and professional service reports, while

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Field Service or technical service experience.
• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Good English communication skills.
• Valid Category B driving licence and passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer sites across Poland and globally.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and deliver effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections to maximise reliability and performance.
• Provide customers with technical guidance and training on operation and maintenance.

Are you ready to deliver hands-on technical expertise across Poland and globally?

JBT Marel is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support our customers across Poland and globally.

In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise advanced food processing equipment, combining strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with excellent customer service. As a Field Service Engineer, you will often be the face of JBT Marel at the customer site, making professional communication, clear reporting, and a customer-first approach essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, international travel, and working directly with customers in a dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair JBT Marel equipment at customer sites across Poland and globally
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and deliver effective solutions to minimise customer downtime
• Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment reliability and performance
• Provide customers with technical guidance and training on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
• Prepare accurate and professional service reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations
• Identify spare parts requirements and highlight opportunities for repairs, upgrades, or improvements
• Support international installations, service projects, and short-notice or emergency service visits when required

About You

You are a hands-on, solution-oriented engineer who enjoys travelling, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships. You are comfortable working independently at customer sites while remaining connected to a wider international service organisation.

You'll bring:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Good understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems
• A professional and confident approach when representing JBT Marel at customer sites

Experience & Education

• 2–3 years of experience in Field Service, Technical Service, Maintenance, or a similar engineering environment
• Technical qualification or relevant background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Good practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Experience with industrial machinery, automated equipment, or food processing equipment is an advantage
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Valid Category B driving licence and passport

Travel & Working Environment

• Approximately 60% travel within Poland and 40% international/global travel
• Regular customer-site work involving service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation activities
• Availability for short-notice or emergency service trips when required
