Job summary

KRAUS RESTORATION INC. is seeking a Field Reconstruction Estimator for New Jersey. The role involves visiting homes and businesses across NJ to assess water, fire, smoke, and mold damage and to prepare reconstruction estimates using mobile tools.

You will plan routes, meet clients, and deliver accurate estimates with a company car provided for travel. The position is full-time and remote, with 4–6 hours of daily driving expected.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record required.
• Familiar with tablets/apps; Jobber training provided.
• Estimates require sharp attention to detail.
• Willing to drive 4–6 hours daily, in all weather.
• Construction background a plus (drywall, framing, plumbing).

Responsibilities

Field Reconstruction Estimator – New Jersey

Location: Whippany, NJ / Mobile / Field-Based – Travel throughout NJ (vehicle provided)

Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Pay: $18–$25/hour (higher end for proven skills; we value real-world experience)

What you’ll do:

Drive around NJ in a company car, stopping at our customers in need of estimates for reconstruction after water-damage, fire damage, smoke and mold damage, etc. —Residential and Commercial, you name it. Book the visits, plan your route, make it efficient, travel to the job site, bring your iPad, laser measure, camera, and write reconstruction estimates using mobile estimating software we will train you how to use. Wrap up at base, lock in the numbers, and go again. No cubicle life—just you, the road, and people who need help.

Someone who can handle a tape measure, stay cool with apps, and talk straight to stressed homeowners. Construction background? Awesome—drywall, framing, plumbing knowledge bumps you up.
