Job summary

The Butler County Educational Service Center is seeking a Family Support Specialist to recruit and enroll children under Ohio Preschool regulations. You will liaise between parents and staff and ensure access to comprehensive services for children on your caseload.

Requires a relevant degree and at least two years' experience in family or social services; valid OH driver's license and solid communication skills are essential. BCESC offers a supportive environment and scarce resources access.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in social services, sociology, psychology, or related field.
  • Two years relevant work experience in family/social services.
  • Knowledge of community resources and health and human system operations.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record and daily access to private insured vehicle during working hours.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, and team building skills.
  • Computer expertise appropriate to the position.
  • History of good job attendance.
  • Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.

SALARY: $20.00 - $26.50 per hour based on education and experience

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board.The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
