Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a motivated individual to supervise and instruct students in grades K-5. The role involves monitoring behavior, assisting with reading and math, and overseeing cafeteria duties.

Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and maintain an Educational Aide Permit. Compensation starts at $17.37 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit.
• Must meet one of the following: hold an Associate's degree, have 48 credit hours, or pass a Paraprofessional exam.

Under the direction of the Principal or designee, the employee will perform reading/math intervention and act as a cafeteria monitor. The incumbent will supervise, care for, and instruct students in grades K‑5 by monitoring student behavior, performing classroom tasks, and providing information to appropriate school personnel.

Pay & Benefits

Beginning hourly rate: $17.37 per hour and up, commensurate with related experience for regular employment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW).
• Meet one of the following criteria:
  (1) Hold an Associate’s degree or higher.
  (2) Have taken forty‑eight semester hours of college coursework.
  (3) Take a Paraprofessional exam.
