Job description

We are seeking a Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA) (job description Expert IT Analyst) to join our growing team within the Corporate Loans Service Domain. You will play a central role in delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives for our corporate customers, focusing on process optimization, workflow automation, and customer experience enhancement.

In today’s world, change is the one thing you can count on. That’s where you come in: working with dedicated colleagues in an inspiring environment to create great solutions for our customers while meeting the expectations Nordea has towards its stakeholders. You’ll have many opportunities to learn and grow as you build your career with us.

About our team

Welcome to the Service Area Corporate Technology. Our team, Requirements & Analysis, within Corporate Loans Service Domain, focuses on delivering digital solutions for corporate lending.

We create value by designing and developing future-ready tools within the Pega platform for the corporate loans domain. Working closely with internal stakeholders and experienced consultants, you will play a key role in ensuring our solutions meet today’s business needs and can adapt to rapidly changing customer demands and technological advancements.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead business architecture and functional design for Pega applications within the corporate lending and credit lifecycle domains.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into Pega features & user stories.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, banking regulations and business objectives.
  • Guide and mentor junior Pega Business Architects on best practices & frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business process models, data mappings, and use cases.
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning and user acceptance testing in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical delivery teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in business architecture and solution design.

You’ll join a small but highly dedicated team of professionals, that welcomes fresh ideas and thinking. This role may be tailored somewhat based on your competences and capabilities. Location is Stockholm (Lindhagen) or Poland (Lodz/Gdansk) and we work on hybrid model.

Who you are

As the Lead Business Architect, you will bridge the gap between business and technology—supporting the Product Owner, defining business requirements, and ensuring alignment between business needs and Pega application design. You’ll be a key contributor in an Agile delivery setup, working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Your background and skills include:
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Pega platform delivery, with at least 2 years in a Lead Business Architect (LBA) role.
  • Strong background in business process re‑engineering and workflow automation.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Great communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business, IT and vendor teams in a hybrid delivery setup.
  • Demonstrated proactivity and ownership: You take initiative and own outcomes.
  • Previous work experience in international company.
It is beneficial if you also know/have:
  • Solid understanding of corporate lending, credit origination, loan servicing, and related banking processes.
  • Demonstrate proactivity and ownership by taking initiative and being accountable for outcomes.
  • Focus on delivering practical, business‑oriented solutions that improve speed, transparency, predictability, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Worked to shorten customer waiting times; ensured status updates are always available, and the ability to manage expectations.

Please give practical examples of your skills and motivation on the cover letter/CV.
