Guardian Glass in Katowice is seeking an European Indirect Tax Specialist to lead VAT, WHT and Intrastat compliance across EU entities. You will drive accurate filings, participate in E-invoicing projects, and partner with finance teams to optimize processes.

Based in Poland with a hybrid schedule (four days in the office, one day at home), the role offers collaboration across Koch and Guardian teams and exposure to diverse VAT environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience in VAT compliance in multinational company; strong knowledge of EU VAT regulation.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong level of Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Own VAT, WHT and Intrastat compliance processes for EU scope (LU, DE, PL, ES/PT, others).
• Participate in E-invoicing implementation projects, testing, and VAT setup.
• Execute work on engagements with external providers for monthly and annual VAT and Intrastat returns.
• Collaborate with Ops/ PTP/ OTC to improve VAT-related processes.
• Maintain monthly VAT reconciliation and align with monthly/annual returns.
• Perform due diligence and keep up-to-date with VAT regulation.
• Partner with business or consultants to conduct tax audits or checks.

Guardian is looking for motivated European Indirect Tax Specialist with a passion for VAT compliance and eager to advance into their career. This position is responsible for delivering VAT and Intrastat compliance services to multiple legal entities in Europe with mixed activities (manufacturing, distribution, service, holdings).

This role has the opportunity cross-functionally work with diverse and experienced capabilities within Guardian and Koch in a mutually beneficial way to drive results for the company.

The role is based in Katowice, Poland and follows a hybrid working arrangement of four days per week in the office and one day working from home. Working models may vary on business needs.

What you will do

• Own VAT, WHT and Intrastat compliance processes for EU scope (LU, DE, PL, ES/PT, others); continuously seek to optimize and bring efficiencies.
• Actively participate in E-invoicing implementation projects, testing, and managing VAT setup.
• Execute the work on engagements with external providers to fulfill the periodical reporting requirements: monthly and annual VAT and Intrastat returns.
• Closely collaborate with business and other finance groups ( Ops /PTP/OTC) to improve business processes impacting VAT compliance.
• Own and maintain monthly VAT reconciliation, alignment to monthly/annual returns, propose adjustments.
• Practice due diligence, seek knowledge internally and externally in terms of VAT regulation.
• Partner with business, other finance groups or consultants to execute tax audits or checking activities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Master's degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience in VAT compliance in multinational company; Strong knowledge of EU VAT regulation.
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong level of Excel skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Additional languages (Spanish, German) are an advantage.
• Previous background in tax consulting is an advantage.
