Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Environmental Management or related discipline.
• ISO 14001 Auditor qualification or equivalent.
• Significant experience in environmental management on major infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects.
• In-depth knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience engaging with clients, regulators, statutory bodies, and other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and monitoring of EMS in line with ISO 14001 and client requirements.
• Ensure environmental obligations (permits, licences, etc.) are identified and met.
• Oversee environmental risk identification and control measures.
• Embed environmental requirements across planning and construction activities.
• Provide technical advice on ecology, water management, waste, noise, air quality and carbon.
• Coordinate reporting, audits, and stakeholder communications.
