Job summary

Sustainability-Led Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join its growing team near London Bridge. You will contribute to the design and delivery of infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainability, circular design and responsible engineering practices.

You will work across highways, drainage, SuDS and S278 schemes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, innovative solutions while upholding standards and ethical considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering design within a consultancy.
• Exposure to highways, drainage, SuDS and/or S278 design.
• Understanding of design standards and best practice.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes across highways, drainage, SuDS and S278 projects.
• Develop practical, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that meet project requirements.
• Apply sustainable and circular design principles to help minimise environmental impact.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Help ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and project specifications.
• Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews and the continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Consider the wider environmental, social and ethical implications of engineering decisions.
