Job summary

NES Fircroft, a leading engineering staffing provider, seeks a Senior Field Engineer – Fabrication & Construction to support major energy projects. You will bridge engineering teams and site construction from fabrication through installation and commissioning.

Role requires extensive on-site coordination, ability to read drawings, and a track record in EPC environments. Expect a rotating schedule with remote and site work, contributing to safety, quality, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Over 8–10 years of experience in industrial construction, particularly fabricating and building installations.
• Experience coordinating between engineering teams and on-site contractors.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical docs.

Senior Field Engineer – Fabrication & Construction

Location: 2 weeks Remote / 2 weeks Site Rotation

Industry: Energy | Industrial Construction | EPC

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Field Engineer – Fabrication & Construction to support the execution of major industrial and energy projects. In this role, you will act as the link between engineering teams and construction activities, ensuring smooth project delivery from fabrication through installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication, construction, and installation activities on site
• Coordinate communication between engineering teams and contractors
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution
• Monitor construction progress and compliance with engineering documentation
• Participate in inspections, testing, and handover activities
• Support planning and scheduling of site operations
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements
• Prepare site reports and provide project progress updates
• Support risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in industrial construction projects
• Strong background in fabrication, construction, or installation activities
• Experience working within EPC projects
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and site management practices
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Willingness to work in a rotational schedule combining remote and site-based work
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, LNG, Hydrogen, or CCUS projects
• Construction-related certifications or technical qualifications
• Experience on large international project sites
• Commissioning and start-up experience
