Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting an Environmental Manager for an international Independent Power Producer active across Wind, PV, and BESS. The role leads environmental activities across the full project lifecycle, from development through construction to operations.

Based in Warsaw with a hybrid office arrangement, the position involves biodiversity strategies, regulatory compliance, ESG advisory to senior leadership, and collaboration with authorities, NGOs, and project teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience leading environmental management for energy projects (wind, solar, storage).

• Lead environmental activities across development, construction and O&M stages.

This role will be responsible for leading environmental activities across the full project lifecycle, from development through construction and into operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing environmental and biodiversity matters for wind and BESS projects at all stages of development, construction, and O&M.
• Overseeing environmental documentation, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Developing and implementing biodiversity strategies and nature-positive initiatives.
• Advising senior leadership on ESG, environmental risks, and sustainability topics.
• Collaborating with public authorities, NGOs, environmental consultants, and international project teams.

Location:

Hybrid, with an office in Warsaw. Remote working arrangements may be considered for candidates based outside Warsaw.
