Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a gameplay engineering team working on The Witcher 4. You will oversee systems in locomotion, animation, and camera, collaborating with designers, animators, QA, and production to deliver top-tier gameplay experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical know-how in Unreal Engine and C++, and effective communication in English. Hybrid work in Warsaw is available, with relocation supported.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine, preferably in AA/AAA projects.
• Proven track record leading a development team of around 7 people.
• Experience in gameplay topics such as locomotion, animation, and camera systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; English proficiency.
• Shipped AA/AAA title in lead or management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead a gameplay engineering team on The Witcher 4.
• Design, implement, and maintain core gameplay features (locomotion, animation, camera).
• Develop tools and debugging utilities for gameplay.
• Collaborate with designers, animators, QA, and production.
• Write, improve, and maintain automated and gameplay tests.
• Debug, profile, optimize, and resolve technical issues with QA.
• Mentor engineers and foster technical growth.
• Define technical priorities with Product Owner and team.
