Job summary

Kraken is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional Consumer pod focused on building and scaling core Kraken experiences. You will guide Frontend (React/React Native) and Backend (Rust) engineers to deliver performant user experiences for Kraken’s consumer surfaces.

You’ll partner with Product, Design and other Engineering Managers to ensure UX quality, reliable systems, and rapid delivery, while mentoring engineers and championing engineering excellence across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams delivering customer-facing products at scale.
• Experience managing combined frontend and backend engineering teams.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication with product, design and eng managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers for core Kraken consumer experiences.
• Own end-to-end UX for key Kraken features across mobile and client platforms.
• Guide delivery of high-quality consumer applications emphasizing usability, performance, and scale.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to define and deliver high-impact features with measurable value.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to maintain engineering standards across services.
• Champion engineering excellence, maintainable architectures, and code quality.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and inclusivity.
• Strengthen team organization using agile processes and engineering metrics.
